Margaret Anna Porter Creations
That’s me! I’ve been in glass work for over 40 years specializing in stained glass, creating dynamic windows and lampshades for my own enjoyment and admirers. What started out as a hobby has led me to create thousands of unique pieces. As my interest in glass grew, I mastered the art of glass fusing. This skill has broadened my capabilities, allowing for the creation of platters, plates, bowls, jewelry, and stunning home décor.
Each spring and summer you’ll find me at various art shows in the Midwest and during the winter I’ll be creating art and enjoying my ever-growing family. In 2022 I had the privilege of launching the South Metro Artisan Show in Lakeville, Minnesota, a platform for fellow artists to showcase their work in the heart of the Twin Cities. Techniques
Stained Glass
Traditional stained and leaded glass pieces are perfect for doors, sidelights, and windows that will provide natural light and privacy for your home. I create a unique design, customized to your desire for your one-of-a-kind piece.
Fused Glass
Glass fusing, also known as kiln casting, is a distinct technique which involves melting and fusing pieces of glass in multiple layers at different heading schedules in a kiln. This technique does not include metals to hold your glass design together but requires skill and patience to layer and fire glass pieces together to create a functional artistic piece.
